ROLE PURPOSE

If you have experience in publishing or books, we’d love to hear from you. We’re recruiting a Product Manager – Textbooks & eBooks on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity leave cover) to lead our Textbooks and eBooks category within the Education team.

 

In this role, you’ll be accountable for the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of Winc’s textbook and eBook strategy and execution, supporting Primary and Secondary Schools nationwide.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • End to end management and development of the overall Winc textbook offer and eBooks platform.
  • Be Winc’s subject matter expert, able to engage and assist in the completion of a sale, both in conjunction with a salesperson and – where required – directly with the customer.
  • Own relationship with publishers together with third-party platform providers to Winc, making sure the product is in line with Winc’s needs and ensuring the smooth roll out of product updates to both Winc and our customers.
  • Supporting the post-sales process for new schools with implementation, on-site support where required
  • Utilise strong leadership skills to maintain multiple contact points within each school (including decision makers, teachers, IT and potentially parents/students).
  • Internally, the role works closely with multiple functions to ensure delivery of a flawless product offering e.g. the wider Merchandising team (new product creation), Sales (pre and post sales) and Winc operational teams for the continual improvement of supporting processes around the product.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

  • Experience of working within the textbook industry and the associated relationships (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent relationship building skills with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers
  • Superior problem-solving capabilities, analytical ability and procedural focus
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including advanced problem solving skills
  • Demonstrable, previous experience of successfully managing an eBooks product platform and the associated relationships or equivalent experience (favourable)
  • Previous experience in developing processes associated with this role (favourable)
  • Relevant Education experience viewed favourably.
