ROLE PURPOSE

 

The Head of Furniture is responsible for developing and facilitating the execution of the sales and growth strategy for the Furniture business; accountable for revenue, margin, customer experience and overall business performance.

The role will establish and communicate a clear vision and strategy across the State Sales Teams and related functions, ensuring the Furniture proposition is effectively positioned, understood and executed across all regions and customer segments.

Success in this role will be driven through strong commercial leadership, market insight, cross-functional collaboration and the development of high-performing teams. A key focus will be building capability through training, knowledge sharing, sales enablement and the effective use of customer, market and performance insights.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Lead the national Furniture GTM strategy to drive revenue, margin and growth.
  • Use market and customer insights to strengthen the value proposition and execution.


Commercial & P&L Leadership

  • Own Furniture sales, margin and operating expenses.
  • Optimise pricing, range, availability and inventory.
  • Drive revenue, margin and productivity.


Sales Leadership & Enablement

  • Translate strategy into clear national sales priorities.
  • Partner with State Sales Leaders to drive customer-focused execution.
  • Monitor performance, trends and pipeline.
  • Equip sales teams with the tools and knowledge to succeed.


Customer Success

  • Lead the Furniture Hub Customer Success team.
  • Deliver seamless pre- and post-sales experiences.
  • Improve processes, service standards and customer outcomes.


Project Sales & Operations

  • Lead Furniture Project and Business Interiors sales and grow project pipeline, revenue and margin.
  • Oversee project delivery, governance and customer outcomes.


Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with key functions to deliver Furniture initiatives.
  • Align commercial, operational and customer priorities.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales leadership roles or commercial leadership, preferably within the B2B sector
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth, building high-performing teams, and achieving revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of the commercial furniture market, including the associated building, construction and business interiors sectors
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team
  • Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
