ROLE PURPOSE

 

We are looking for an experienced Digital Product Owner who is excited by the opportunity to make a real (and fast) impact on our customers, commercials, and teams. Play an instrumental role in owning and executing on our digital strategy and ecommerce roadmap as part of a close-knit Ecommerce team. 

 

As the majority of Winc revenue comes through the website, this role is critical to the success of the business and is highly visible across key teams including the executive. 

  • Own the Winc website roadmap and backlog

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Defining and maintaining a shared product vision in collaboration with your key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with ecommerce and wider business strategic priorities 
  • Define product features based on customer and business needs and insights 
  • Manage the communication of roadmap updates into delivery teams and ensure alignment of development activities against agreed roadmap priorities 
  • Track and measure the achievements of business and product objectives and key results.   
  • Prioritise the backlog, coordinate new requests, and manage cross-team dependencies. 
  • Create user stories that provide sufficiently detailed requirements for development and test teams  
  • Act as a conduit between Business and Technology teams, capturing product requirements and providing these to delivery teams in the form of idea briefs, requirement documents and through kick-off sessions  
  • Work collaboratively with UX, UI and CRO specialists to improve the online experience 
  • Ensure that delivery teams understand the scope, requirements, business benefits and goals associated with deliverables and work with technology and delivery teams to ensure that all digital initiatives are delivered within agreed timeframes, to agreed budget and with agreed scope  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvement & simplification to further drive operational efficiency and effectiveness 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

  • We are looking for a Digital Product Owner with 3+ years’ experience working in an ecommerce environment 
  • Lead with a ‘customer centric’ mindset with the ability to critique existing and new customer journeys in the eyes of a customer 
  • Data driven approach and proficient in using digital analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or similar analytics tools. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate, both written and oral with an attention to detail 
  • Passionate about digital, ecommerce and self-service technologies, you will be adept at identifying new opportunities, defining scope requirements, and prioritising digital work. 

 

You will have the ability to see the “big picture” of the organisation and collaborate with business stakeholders to drive towards digital-specific targets and objectives. In addition, it is critical that you have demonstrated:  

  • Excellent attention to detail, initiative, and an acute ability to work autonomously 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills 
  • Data-driven decision making 
  • Strong business writing skills to support project management, analysis, reporting and testing  
  • Ability to successfully deal with ambiguity while managing conflicting priorities and stakeholder expectations 
  • Experience in implementing process improvements/efficiencies  
  • Solid understanding of the digital landscape, technologies, trends and tools to drive the performance of the online channels
