ROLE PURPOSE

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team to help build data pipeline, design and implement data architecture and ensure data governance on data bricks.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Work closely with key business stakeholder, data analysts, and scientists to understand and meet diverse data needs to facilitate the deployment of AI and ML models.
  • Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Databricks, ensuring robust data processing workflows for cleaning, transforming, and aggregating data.
  • Continuously improve and optimize existing data pipelines for performance and scalability.
  • Model data from API outputs into a relational format.
  • Develop CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Provide support to ensure secure access to data for necessary teams and meet data quality and governance requirements using unity catalogue.
  • Experience with Azure cloud data platform, including knowledge of cloud storage solutions, compute resources, and managed services

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

  • A minimum of 5+ years relevant experience as Azure Data engineer.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Databricks.
  • Expertise in SQL, Python and PySpark.
  • Experienced in CI/CD pipelines, ETL processes, data streaming, and data sharing, with familiarity in real-time data processing and integration, particularly with Databricks
  • Experience with visualisation tools such as Tableau is highly regarded.
  • Good understanding of Azure cloud services like Data factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob, ect.
  • Critical thinking, ability to ‘connect the dots’ and see the big picture.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly developed ability and experience in process modelling, data modelling combined with an outstanding ability to apply theoretical technical knowledge to business requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skill
