ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of the Commercial Manager, Sales is to partner with our Sales function to develop, execute, and communicate financial plans and commercial performance improvement initiatives that enhance customer performance and profitability.
To be successful in this role, the person must be resourceful, demonstrate a high level of expertise and initiative, and tackle problems in a methodical and logical manner. Additionally, they must be capable of building strong relationships with key stakeholders and have a strong ability to influence decision-making.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support and challenge the Sales Director and sales lead team to develop the medium-to-long term sales strategy that will provide Winc with a sustainable growth strategy and provide a clear competitive advantage in the market
- Provide insightful analysis into performance (daily, weekly, monthly) which is accurate and targeted to ensure real underlying performance is continuously improving and exceeding budget and other targets
- Lead the modelling of business scenarios and potential market offer changes
- Ensure all campaigns and key promotions are effectively planned for and modelled from a sales financial perspective, ensuring accurate costings and strongly supporting all profitability analysis
- Ensure consistency, accuracy and fit-for-purpose of the reporting suite
- Manage the processes, tools and data sources required for effective budgeting and forecasting (over a rolling 12-month horizon)
- Coordinate budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the functional and cost centre leaders
- Ensure Budgets and Forecasts include documented performance targets and supporting commercial KPIs

Essential:
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- CA, CPA, or MBA qualification.
- FMCG B2B expertise.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
- Solid accounting knowledge with a strong analytical mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data effectively.
- Proficiency in reporting tools and Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Experience partnering with Sales.
- Familiarity with SAP ERP, BPC, Business Intelligence, and Tableau.
