ROLE PURPOSE

 

The Commercial Analyst plays a critical role in providing consistent reporting and analysis to guide and monitor the Sales, Customer Experience, and eCommerce functions.


Acting as the link to the Business Intelligence team, the Commercial Analyst leverages their knowledge of systems, business processes, and technologies to develop, define, streamline and deliver reports, insights, and analysis across the organisation. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

 

  • Deliver weekly and monthly results reporting accurately and on time
  • Assist with forecasting, Annual Operating Plan & Strategic Plan.
  • Assist in ad-hoc and project analysis when required
  • Ensure reporting capabilities are consistent, fit-for-purpose and widely adopted.
  • Challenge the status quo to drive improvements in behaviour, processes and financial outcomes.
  • Develop strong relationships with functional teams (Sales, eCommerce and Customer Experience) to drive improvements in financial results.
  • Establish high adoption and consistent interpretation of key reports and analysis by functional leaders.
  • Ensure innovative reporting that delivers actionable insights to improve the financial performance of the business.
  • Assist in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process as required.
  • Support the creation of training material and adoption of new tools and KPI dashboards at all levels.

 

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

 

Essential

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Business or Finance
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to deliver complex quantitative information.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Logical & creative approach to problem solving.
  • Advanced Excel skills, intermediate user of Office applications.
  • Competent technical skills in areas of accounting principles, strong analytical skills and the ability to provide insights into drivers of performance.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexity, meet deadlines and work well under pressure


Preferred

  • Experience partnering Sales function
  • Systems experience in Tableau, BI tools, SAP and BPC.
  • Experience with advanced analytical & reporting tools.
