ROLE PURPOSE

 
To deliver commercial value to the business through effective execution of category sourcing strategies, management of supplier relationships and negotiation of COGS and contracts. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Lead and support Category initiatives including analysis, governance and implementation 
  • Support Merchandising team to develop category strategies, vendor negotiations, RFPs and working with finance to track and sign off commercial outcomes
  • Deliver cost efficiencies to the business through effective management of supplier agreements
  • Support Merchandising team to effectively manage supplier relationships
  • Support development and maintenance of standardised reporting including margins, COGS, purchasing, rebates, etc.
  • Build and develop market insights, commodity and FX rate tracker and any relevant reporting
  • Maintain understanding of legislative requirements associated with tender processes
  • Work with Finance team in tracking Vendor rebates, MDF, reconciliating Volume rebates and catalogue funding 
  • Support reporting and tracker for supplier’s delivery performance
     

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a procurement role
  • Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience in an FMCG environment
