ROLE PURPOSE
As the Category Revenue Analyst, you will act as an internal consultant, working with sales, pricing and merchandising teams to drive incremental sales and margin using data modelling and analysis.
A major part of this role will be to take ownership, transform data into insights, pinpoint opportunities and challenge the teams to ensure the best possible growth opportunities are explored.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Analyze sales, pricing, and merchandising data to find growth strategies.
- Monitor market and revenue pipelines; adjust for growth.
- Identify profit improvement areas and create action plans.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance sales, margins, pricing, and budgets.
- Work closely with sales, pricing, and merchandising teams to understand their objectives and challenges.
Opportunity Identification:
- Use analytics, reporting & statistical modelling to improve sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
- Assist, identify and implement new methods and processes to improve sales performance and drive the outcome for the business.
- Present opportunities to the wider business to drive revenue growth.
Strategy Development:
- Develop strategies for pricing, promotions, and merchandising.
- Align with customer needs and market trends.
Performance Monitoring:
- Create reports and dashboards to track sales and profit.
- Set KPIs and adjust strategies as needed.
Cross-Functional Alignment:
- Enhance sales systems and prioritize implementation.
- Act as an internal consultant, providing expertise and support to various teams.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to recommend innovative approaches for revenue optimization.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Bachelor's degree desirable in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in revenue growth management, data analysis, and strategy development.
- Experience in retail/FMCG/relevant industry, preferably in business intelligence or sales planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Attention to detail, structured and systematic approach to develop concepts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive measurable results and achieve financial targets.
- Advanced Analytical skills in:
- Advanced MS Office, in particular Excel and PowerPoint,
- Advanced SAP & Tableau knowledge is essential
- Advanced enterprise CRM (salesforce)
- Stakeholder Management: Understand complex business context; Ability to influence in/external partners at all levels, with various backgrounds and expertise.
- Commercial Sense: Identify and grasp opportunities in a fast paced and diverse business environment.
