ROLE PURPOSE
To partner with our internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries on net promo income billings, ensure timely collection of these billings and maintain the tidiness of the customer ledgers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Proactive collections approach to contact vendors (phone calls, emails, and collection templates) for overdue invoices.
- Ensure that any issues are escalated to the correct teams for action and follow-up.
- Create credit notes and invoices upon request from the rebate accountant.
- Review the sub-ledger with the rebate accountant and the accounting manager once a month. Ensure the invoice deduction list is maintained for the AP process after the review.
- For vendors who only allow agreed deductions, liaise with the vendor on deduction and obtain approval before the due date for invoicing.
- 24-48 hour turnover for all requests in the AB Rebates Inbox (invoice copies, updating vendor master data contacts with NCIT, passing on queries/disputes to rebate accountant)
- Chargeback reports are generated and emailed to the vendor within the first week of the calendar month-end.
- Monitor credit note clearing GL constantly and clear the ledger on a timely basis.
- Maintain Master listing and make updates
- Reconcile rebate, MDF and chargebacks receivable accounts and credit note clearing accounts.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- 1-2 year accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Experience in collections is preferred
- SAP Experience is preferred
- Intermediate Excel skill
- Proactive approach
