ROLE PURPOSE

 

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team to deliver Winc’s growth strategy across the Hobart and broader Tasmania region. This role drives revenue growth by executing strategic sales plans, identifying new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing clients.

Working closely with senior leadership, the Sales Manager monitors performance, and provides coaching and mentoring to ensure the team consistently achieves and exceeds objectives. The role plays a key part in fostering a strong sales culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and customer success.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and coach a high-performing sales team to achieve targets.
  • Set goals, provide feedback, and foster a results-driven culture.


Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Execute sales strategies to drive growth and expand accounts.
  • Monitor market trends and adapt approaches.


Customer Relationship Management

  • Build strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Resolve issues and deliver tailored solutions.


Performance & Reporting

  • Track performance, identify improvements, and provide insights.
  • Use data to guide decisions and optimise results.


Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Marketing, Operations, and CX teams to support sales outcomes.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ sales management experience, ideally in a B2B environment.
  • Professional sales certification is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets in competitive markets.
  • Strong experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Skilled in creating and executing effective sales strategies and plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking abilities.
