ROLE PURPOSE
Our Team Manager is responsible for driving planning efficiencies, leading Team Coordinators and Leaders, and supporting improvements across receiving through to final despatch at our National Distribution Centre (NDC), ensuring business goals and profit objectives are achieved.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage end-of-day inbound, replenishment, and outbound processes in conjunction with other Team Managers.
- Control labour costs within budget while maintaining high service levels.
- Drive operational standards, change management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate cross-training and support team development.
- Promote a "Safety First" culture, lead OH&S programmes, and ensure compliance with the Winc National OH&S Management System.
- Deputise for the DC Shift Manager when required.
Teamwork & Leadership
- Act as a role model and provide support to the team.
- Share knowledge, delegate effectively, and manage individual performance.
- Use positive influence and effective communication to build strong working relationships.
Competencies & Skills
- Strong customer service focus with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of compliance, OH&S, and relevant legislation.
- Proven relationship management, influencing, and leadership skills.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
- Experience managing a team in a warehousing environment.
- Knowledge of state legislation relating to OH&S and Industrial Relations.
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff, projects, or initiatives.
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and processes.
- Proven experience in implementing process improvements and change management.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across multiple departments.
